Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) produces and sells electricity in the United States, primarily serving municipalities, cooperatives, federal agencies, and large industrial customers in Tennessee, northern Alabama, northeastern Mississippi, and southwestern Kentucky, as well as parts of Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia. It generates power from coal-fired, nuclear, hydroelectric, and other facilities.
